Texas A&M University Central Texas Mba Essay

The MBA program is designed to develop student leadership, decision making, and critical thinking abilities. Students are given opportunities to make decisions based on the critical evaluation of real-life situations. Graduate faculty members strive to prepare MBA students for career opportunities and to compete in global business.

In an effort to aid in the successful completion of graduate business courses at A&M-Central Texas, students may be required to demonstrate prerequisite knowledge for certain courses prior to registration. At the initial advising appointment, students' faculty advisor will confirm which areas of leveling are needed in order to clear prerequisites that have been established for certain courses. Presently, some prerequisite knowledge is required in the following disciplines: Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Statistics. Prerequisite knowledge may be demonstrated through approved undergraduate coursework in that discipline or satisfactory completion of a required skills examination administered through a third-party provider, Ivy Software. “ The MBA program at TAMUCT is challenging, but not impossible. The classes provide a well-rounded curriculum so students leave feeling they have an even more solid business background to help further their careers. I only took classes online, so I cannot speak to campus safety and resources, though I have heard from classmates who split their time between online classes and in person state that the school has many wonderful resources, particularly the writing center, to help students. I have also found that most of the teachers are very willing to help students in any way they can to help better understand the material. ”

“ I think Texas A&M University is great school. The campus is beautiful and the student body is amazing. There are a million ways to get connected at this school, so while the university is very large, it doesn't always feel that way once you've found your "spot". There are always organizations to join, charities to help, study groups, etc. There's a saying - "From the outside looking in, you can't understand it; From the inside looking out, you can't explain it." That's a very true statement. It's amazing to have been out of school for almost a decade and still have strangers talk to me about their years at A&M when they see my Aggie ring. ”

“ It was inexpensive, but PPA students take precedence over Masters students when it comes to hiring for internships or jobs. The job fair is fairly large. You also meet a lot of people, and there are quite a few extracurricular activities. The bus system is fairly good unless you're staying for the holidays. ”

“ A&M is a great large school with everything that is available to it, like world class speakers, the arts, athletics (both watching and participating), and high class academics. It is certainly one of the more odd college environments, in terms of the ferocity of loyalty, but it is something that can either be fully embraced or avoided at all costs, depending on your interests. The benefit of such a large school is that there are all sorts of people. ”

Degree: Management

Graduation Year: 2018

“ I am currently enrolled in the Master's Management and Leadership degree program. I chose this university because it has one of the best Business programs that you could ever be a part of. The professor's have a broad knowledge of information that they gained from experience from teaching and learning at other universities and the information is not only valuable, but it very interesting to know. The university and the professor's create a more than sufficient work environment and classroom environment. Given that the university is fairly new, the culture at this university is like no other that I have ever seen. The atmosphere is positive, the people are positive and the institution cultivates minds and creates success. I would highly recommend this university for any degree type. ”

“ Texas A&M University - Central Texas is a relatively new school located in Killeen, Texas formerly part of Tarleton State University. Their campus is very new and updated. I am slated to graduate from their MBA program in December of 2015. Their MBA program offers good flexibility for professional students. Since most students are affiliated with the military, it does detract from networking opportunities somewhat for private sector professionals. A lot of students enroll straight from their undergraduate programs into their graduate programs. The application process is fairly straightforward. ”

“ The Pros of my graduate program is that due to the smaller class size I get more of a one of one with the teacher and it is easier to network with the other student. The con of my graduate program is that it does not offer any online classes. ”

“ The pros for this college are that they offer great programs, support, etc. for any person looking to advance in education and careers. My only con is that they should offer more healthcare classes or degrees. Overall this is a great college. ”
